Michael E. Kenney
Chief Executive Officer
Continuing his lifelong career in building science—specifically in materials testing and forensics—Michael cofounded BES in 2013 and is now its CEO. His extensive experience and leadership have enabled the company to grow to a full-service building science firm covering new construction, existing buildings, and litigation support. Michael’s continued work on American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) committees, industry publications, and mentoring—coupled with his education and practical experience—contributes to the positive growth of BES.
Charles B. Antone
As cofounder and President of BES, Charles has helped expand the company to service regional and national markets, making it a three-time recipient of Providence Business News’ fastest growing and innovative companies award. His formal education in mathematics, computer science, and philosophy complements his practical experience in commercial construction as a project manager and estimator, a successful building science entrepreneur, and an expert in production-based scheduling and analysis, quality control, and construction costs.
Executive Vice President of Operations
With more than 20 years of experience, Gil is responsible for overseeing building enclosure consulting and commissioning projects. He is a certified commissioning process provider through the University of Wisconsin School of Engineering and a LEED accredited professional. Additionally, he is active in many industry associations including the Boston Society of Architects, the Building Enclosure Council, the United States Green Building Council, and the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM).
Vice President of Business Development
Seth brings more than 17 years of experience in consulting, facilities management, and architecture fields to his work for BES. His owner’s representative and project management experience includes project team leadership, vendor procurement, construction oversight, client communication, design solutions, and reporting.
As a member of the executive team Chrissy works closely with corporate, managers, staff and resources to manage the budgeting, modeling, accounting, bookkeeping and corporate tax preparation functions of BES. In addition to her business experience, Chrissy is a voice instructor, singer and performer.
Human Resources Manager
Sheri has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources leadership across multiple industries including banking, medical, packaging, educational consulting, and more. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Human Resources Management and holds her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Associate Vice President
A project executive with 12 years of experience in the architectural, engineering, and construction fields, Mat specializes in building envelope evaluation and forensics, waterproofing restoration, construction documents, and design detailing through construction administration. Additional professional experience includes interdisciplinary teaming, office and staff management, and all stages of peer review projects, from initial design through construction.
With more than 25 years of professional and technical experience in building envelope design and restoration, Mike has extensive knowledge of building systems. He provides clients with expert roofing, façade, and waterproofing evaluations, recommendations, budget estimates, and design documents.
Craig is a certified auditor of air barrier systems and inspector for spray foam installations through the Air Barrier Association of America. He is a certified EIFS inspector through the Association of Walls and Ceilings Industry (AWCI), a Registered Roof Observer through the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC)—formerly Roof Consultants Institute (RCI)—and a trained building science thermographer. During his 15+-year career, Craig has handled commissioning and field testing of building enclosure systems for many institutional, commercial, and municipal projects.
As a project engineer, Sam primarily focuses on commissioning and field performance verification testing on new construction building enclosure projects. He also has extensive experience in existing building investigation and analysis, and as a certified EIFS inspector specializes in the fields of concrete engineering and inspection. In addition, Sam is active in many industry associations related to building enclosure commissioning and systems inspection and performance.
Frank builds on more than 29 years of professional experience in design, building envelope, construction technology, project and client management, and project coordination. He offers extensive knowledge of design/drafting, construction administration, existing condition drawings, document production and review, team management, and client services.
Dan Mulvey, MBA
With more than 10 years of experience in the field, Dan offers expertise in architecture and building design, condition assessments and investigations, and construction management.
Dan Nowlan, AIA
Over his 10-year career working on a wide range of commercial, institutional, and municipal projects, Dan has gained experience performing enclosure evaluations, design, testing, construction administration, code research, and facilities management capital planning for both new and existing construction.
Ryan Field, AIA
With 16+ years of professional experience, Ryan provides building envelope evaluations, analysis, construction administration, and architectural design. Projects range from existing building systems evaluation, quality control inspections, and document reviews to on-site construction quality assurance and writing detailed reports.
Katarina’s professional experience includes a wide range of design projects, construction plan review and analysis, building envelope quality control, and moisture analysis. She evaluates everything from academic buildings to commercial and medical complexes.
Ryan has years of professional experience in the building envelope, construction, commercial, and architecture fields. His project experience includes a wide range of repair design drafting work for medical facilities, sports arenas, and religious institutions, along with residential and commercial buildings.
Brendan has years of professional experience in the building envelope, construction, commercial, and environmental fields. At BES he focuses on a wide range of repair design drafting work for residential and commercial buildings.
Ryan Russell, RA
Ryan possesses years of professional experience in the building envelope, construction, commercial, and residential fields, and offers expertise in wood-framed condominium structures and rehabilitation projects.
Offering architectural design and project support, Austin is involved in residential and commercial projects, and provides a wide range of quality control.
Jef possesses years of experience in support, marketing, and project management of commercial real estate projects. He also maintains an active leadership role in the community.
