CHAPEL VIEW | CRANSTON, RI
Pre-Construction and Construction Services
This commercial and residential mixed-use development encompasses six separate buildings of varying construction types. In response to ongoing renovation requirements, BES is providing pre-construction and construction services through all project phases. Services and responsibilities include budgeting, repair design, permitting, bidding, site supervision, scheduling, site logistics, quality control, weekly reporting, and approval of payment applications.
At the onset of this project, BES provided an extensive condition assessment as part of the process of determining the most efficient scope options.
MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL | BOSTON, MA
Roof Assessment and Replacement
As part of the development and execution of the facilities management capital plan, BES conducted a roofing and penthouses evaluation, as well as construction administration services for the hospital’s largest medical research and laboratory facility, located in the Charlestown Navy Yard. We completed substantial penthouse masonry and metal roofing restoration.
This multi-year phased project included 65,000 sf of roofing, along with significant mechanical and electrical coordination and modifications.
ROWES WHARF | BOSTON, MA
Capital Project Delivery
Situated on the iconic Boston Harbor, Rowes Wharf is a large-scale, mixed-use commercial landmark housing the five-star Boston Harbor Hotel, The Residences luxury condominiums, Class A offices, and retail facilities.
Over nearly 10 years of professional consulting services at Rowes Wharf, our team has been involved in the complete building envelope (including brick masonry façade restoration and replacement of low-slope roofs and balconies), along with recently completed plaza restoration projects.
BES has provided full-service consulting—from investigation and condition assessment to repair design, bidding, construction administration, and on-site quality control through project closeout.
PROVIDENCE CITY HALL | PROVIDENCE, RI
Historic Building Envelope Remediation and Repair
As project manager for the complete envelope revitalization of Providence’s historic City Hall, BES has performed condition assessments of the original building envelope materials, followed by a master plan, project budget, and design documents for bidding of the phased construction.
We are also providing construction bidding services, award recommendations, coordination of contracts, and construction administration services through the completion of the project.
THE STEEL YARD SUPER STUDIO | PROVIDENCE, RI
Owner’s Project Manager
Housed in a historic brick masonry structure, The Steel Yard is an award-winning, nonprofit industrial arts center serving the local community.
BES assisted OPM with construction oversight and direction, bidding, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, weekly reporting, and payment requisition approval. Additionally, we provided architectural drawing peer review with a focus and impact on the project’s building enclosure design.

Investigation and Targeted Repairs
At this state-of-the-art data center, BES performed the exterior systems investigation, designed rehabilitation plans and details, implemented mock-up repair testing, and completed on-site quality control of repairs.
DEXTER SOUTHBRIDGE SCHOOL ICE ARENA | BROOKLINE, MA
Ensuring the safety of skaters on this school ice arena was a key consideration when we provided a condition assessment of the existing building enclosure system. The scope of this project included forensic investigation, repair design of new flashing, waterproofing and insulation details, and quality control throughout the duration of repair construction.
JOHNSON & WALES UNIVERSITY CITY VIEW TOWERS | CHARLOTTE, NC
Capital Project Delivery
This eight-story, 27,000 SF brick, stucco and EIFS-clad dormitory was built in 2004 on JWU’s Charlotte campus.
BES provided rehabilitation services including a condition assessment of the EIFS, repair design, mock-up review, field testing, contract administration, on-site quality control, and construction management services.
